Sunday brunch & pool cabaña

Most excellent food and air at Playa del Carmen. Superb food, quality components, service outside any other area in Playa. Individuals that are on the team are courteous, knowledgeable, careful, and instantaneous.

The master chef Danny is your number 1 at Playa. The utmost in professionalism, direction warrants many applauses for the cozumel shore snorkel with lunch recommendations. Bartender Argynnis Reyes is imaginative & additional special.

My Loved Ones and I stayed in the Thompson hotel on the shore. The resort was terrific, and the rooms were clean. However, it was made even better with the excellent support of Horacio. He was quite friendly, and his help was above and beyond. He made us feel valued and welcome. He was a waiter in the pool; thus, if possible, try to get him as your waiter.

I remained at the Thompson Beach House at Playa del Carmen before this season, in April (2019). This was among my delightful vacations in recent memory, an ideal, relaxing spa to recharge.

The resort was fantastic in the hot reception upon entrance (particular reference to Roberto along with the beautiful concierge Lezlie), into the fabulous food and terrific waiters and bartenders in the restaurant (specific reference to Nico, Zaira, Ricardo, and Adrial), into the beautiful housekeeping (particular mention to Eisy), to the fantastic location and effortless beach access, you can not fail with the Beach House.

Everything about our stay was exceptional, in the check-in encounter to the hospitality in the pub and restaurant and also our comfortable and spacious area.

Be aware that over Cancun and Playa del Carmen, the seaweed in the sea is much more often washing up on the shore. Despite people clearing it daily, it does not make for excellent swims in the sea, so we stayed by the pool. We understood that this heading to our trip, but it might be disappointing for people who wish to swim from the sea – admittedly not the fault of the resort!

Wonderful Retreat with Staff

Traveling with a group is never easy, but the staff at Panama Jacks made it carefree and enjoyable. You can always tell when people LOVE what they do. There was not a staff member who was not smiling and friendly and always helpful.

A HUGE shout out to Samantha who coordinated with me for weeks before the trip and answered dozens of questions worked through many room changes and incorporated our arrangements into a fun STAFF DAY on the beach complete with a beach BBQ and buffet with a fully functional bar.

This was a fantastic time for our staff, and everyone truly loved their stay. We will be sure to be back next year. THANK YOU to all of the staff- the entire team was incredible and we loved the helmet diving in cozumel suggestions!

We could not have asked for a better family vacation! The hotel surpassed our expectations- beautiful accommodations, dining, and perfect location! Our kids had a blast, and we are leaving feeling relaxed (and we brought a four and 6-year-old – to say we “relaxed” is the best compliment we can give).

We are not big all-inclusive fans and generally like trying new places. However, the food, the service, the VIEWS, make us want to come back to this resort. To top it off, you can easily walk to downtown playa – we went to town most days, and it was beautiful, felt safe, and allowed us to experience some culture outside of the resort. Many thanks for giving us a dream spring break that we will remember for years.

We felt that the entire process was effortless. Anat was a massive part of what made our trip so special. The care and attention she placed into our special day will always be something that we remember!

Though Panama Jack was not the most expensive option, we felt that they did an excellent job with the details and made it feel luxurious to us. We loved our time there and can’t wait to go back!

The best place in the world

I had a four-night layover intended in the budget close to this hotel but chose to pay and update to the Grand what’s so much better. Branded drinks, fantastic food, cheerful and excellent staff that appear very keen that you enjoy your stay to the max. It had been quite busy, but there is still enough sunbeds to go around in the primary pool. A silent swimming pool is also available that is amazing and as its name implies, silent.

A selection of a la carte restaurants is offered along with the main buffet that was superb — shame about the blossom along the shore. The tractors were eliminating it as best they can, but it is too much for them to handle completely.

In the day there was always the best musical entertainment in the pub and the adjoining principal atrium having an air-conditioned indoor backyard proved to be a lovely spot to sit down and enjoy a beverage. The exceptionally well-equipped fitness center also if you feel the need. Recommended.

He was attentive and continually seeking our opinions. Jesus in the pool created everything so comfortable to unwind and he also gave us a nice cozumel reef restoration tour recommendation. Tsunami, Orlando, and Aaron were courteous, outgoing, and friendly. They each make you feel like your unique.

Each one, the bellmen and men in the golf carts hauling us around the property, went above and beyond.

Room service was killer also. So excellent.

It has been two weeks since we have been back and I remember their titles. I cannot wait to visit a different Grand property.

Wonderful trip to the Iberostar properties

We have been to a lot of resorts in this area and must say this is the best. We have spent a lot of money at all adult and very expensive resorts, but the last three times in this area we have gone here. We enjoy the quality and excellent customer service. The food and staff are amazing. The place is vast with so much to see and do.

We had a fantastic time. My daughter is a picky eater, and she had no problem finding food to eat at any time. My son loved the steak house. Always great omelets to order in the morning and many other things to eat.

The pool was warm, and having Dos Equis on tap was a plus for me as many of the resorts we have stayed in the last 25 years did not have that on tap. They always had my room fridge stocked and extras in the room as well.

We met many great people at the pool and the beach and couldn’t have asked for a better first trip for the kids. Having the shopping area (don’t miss the tacos there) and the nightly shows at the Lindo made the trip that much better. Take advantage of the concierge at your building for booking reservations at restaurants.

My one recommendation for the hotel would be to ensure at check-in the staff tells guests to download the app and notify guests were the kiosks are at for the activity schedule. They also suggest trying the cozumel flyboard tours. Once we figured it out, we were also telling other guests. Most hotels this is done via a daily activity sheet under the door.

We’ve been to a few other Iberostar Hotels – Quetzal, Paraiso Lindo, Paraiso Beach, Cozumel and this was our favorite. The service was phenomenal, and the food was always delicious. The room was spacious and even had a jetted bathtub. We loved the whole experience. The only negative that comes to mind was they did not always have clean face cloths in the bathroom.

They gain confidence by performing on stage every night, and they feel safe and independent while on vacation. The Monkey’s counselors are loving, caring, and brilliant, and the head of the camp is smart, approachable, and resourceful. Beautifully run. Outstanding vacation. Everybody was happy.
